Born in Bristol, UK, in 1935. Educated at St Brendan’s College and Bristol University. Graduated in Veterinary Science. Practiced in Cornwall, then entered the Royal Army Veterinary Corps. Back to general practice in Cornwall, Dorset and Hampshire. Moved to New Zealand in 1967 and worked in a cattle practice. Joined Massey University in 1970. Moved to the University of Sydney in 1981 and taught there for 25 years. Retired in 2005. Now teaching in U3A (University of the Third Age). Courses and classes include: Thinking skills, Creative thinking, Getting more out of Retirement, The Human animal, Music for Fun. Also enjoy singing, song-writing, and writing.
